Does my child need a snack?
No, there will not be a snack break during the two hour workshop.
How does my child need to dress?
They can dress however they are comfortable for the event, all activities will be in doors.
Can I attend with my daughter?
We do not suggest that parents stay for the event as this day is all about building self confidence. If your child has special needs that requires you or a support person to be there, please advise the Chapter Leader using our contact form.
Does my child need to bring money to the event?
No they do not, however there are One Girl items available to purchase at the event, if they would like to do so. We also have our One Girl Sponsorships available for purchase; these help send a girl to school!
When does registration close?
Registration usually closes 1-2 days before the event, but we suggest registering early as limited spaces are available and events can sell out quickly.
Can my 7 year old attend the Inspired workshop (ages 8-10)? Can my 14 year old attend the Encouraged workshop (ages 11-13)?
Yes, it is up to the parents discretion with the understanding that the age groups attending will be 8-10 and 11-13 and the materials will be designed appropriately for such ages.
Is there a program for children older than 13?
Yes! One Girl is excited to offer an online program for girls 13 and up. Led by Oprah’s Mentee, Mpumi Nobiva, girls will go on a transformative 8-week journey towards their boldest inner voice and most unapologetic, Fearless Self. Registration coming soon!
My child struggles with (anxiety, learning disability, ADHD, etc.) would she still be welcomed? Is it still appropriate for her?
Yes, absolutely! We create an accepting space for children will all abilities. If the child needs additional assistance we ask that someone attend with the child to help them for the event.
What is the refund policy?
Registrations are not refundable. You can transfer your registration to another child for that same month’s event using our online transfer form if your child can no longer attend for any reason. As spaces are limited in each workshop, registrations cannot be transferred to a future event.
Is there a program for boys?
One Girl does not create programming for boys; however, please check out risingsonscoaching.com. They have an online program that parents can access for boys anywhere in the world.
