Hi! I’m Jaedyn. As a fourth year Psychology student at the University of Calgary, I understand the challenges that come with being a woman and am passionate about empowering young girls to become strong leaders. Every girl at some point in their lives feel like they are not good enough or question their abilities; I aim to teach these girls to reframe their perspective and accept themselves for who they are, and it opens up so many doors.

Over the past five years, I have worked with girls of all ages through volunteering at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, coaching a girls’ U15 volleyball team, lifeguarding/swim instructing, working with individuals with special needs and providing therapy as a Speech Language Therapy Assistant. I am thrilled to begin the One Girl Calgary Chapter to continue empowering girls to pursue their passions and to be confident with themselves, inside and out.

The best part about being an advocate for women is not only do I get to empower young girls to strive and reach their full potential, they also empower me to keep pursuing my own goals and to never doubt myself. Young girls are so full of hope and potential which makes me confident that together as women, we can succeed in anything we set our minds to and create positive change.
